The Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic will register vehicles, their operators and toll payers, issue and collect back on-board units for the new satellite toll system, which will be launched on 1 December 2019. This is the result of an agreement concluded between the Economic Chamber and the new toll operator – CzechToll.

The pre-registration of vehicles for the new CzechToll system will start on 22 September. Already at pre-registration, the Economic Chamber will start informing entrepreneurs about the conditions of road charging, concluding contracts with them, registering vehicles, their operators and toll payers, issuing on-board units and receiving deposits for them at its 15 selected regional chambers.

For the purposes of vehicle registration and on-board unit issuance for 470,000 vehicles, it has already begun to reinforce its chambers with staff who will also be equipped with the technical devices for the communication infrastructure of the toll system operator.

The Economic Chamber is a business self-governing organisation. It covers 16,000 sole traders, small and medium-sized companies and strategically important large enterprises and 119 trade unions, associations, clusters and craft guilds within the Czech economy.
