Prague, 25 September 2019 – The registration of vehicles for the new toll system in the Czech Republic has started. Hauliers are obliged to register in the new electronic toll system and to equip vehicles with the on-board unit no later than on the start date, i.e. 1 December 2019.

“Replacing the OBUs and having to register in the new system is probably the biggest complication awaiting hauliers. Therefore we have prepared the registration process to be as easy as possible. We would like to ask all hauliers not to leave their registration in the new system to the last minute, but to take advantage of the period of more than two extra months, during which toll change issues can be resolved before its launch,”  said Matej Okáli, the CzechToll CEO.

Hauliers are obliged to register in the new electronic toll system and to equip the vehicles with the on-board unit no later than on the start date, i.e. 1 December 2019. A pre-condition for issuing the on-board unit is a payment of a deposit of CZK 2,468.

From 22 September 2019, hauliers can meet the obligation to register at more than 200 Points of Sale, at 15 selected branches of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, through Fuel Card Issuers or online at www.mytocz.eu. In the case of online registration, hauliers will receive the on-board by post (free shipping to the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland).

Complete information about the new toll system can be obtained by hauliers on the website www.mytocz.eu or on the customer service line +420 243 243 243, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
