CzechToll collected over 7 million Czech crowns in “new” tolls on Sunday; traffic complications are minimal at the moment
CzechToll's new toll system is working without any problems and despite the Sunday ban on lorry driving the amount of tolls collected from carriers reached over CZK 7 million. With the first working day of the operation the points of sale became significantly busier. At some borders crossing drivers need to wait up to 30 minutes to be able to continue. From early morning until approximately noon, as a result of the registrations an approximately 2-kilometre queue was formed at Lanžhot border crossing. The trucks stood in the side lane all the time, while passage on the D2 motorway was possible with caution without limitation in both lanes.
